Do you guarantee my house cleaning work?
All our home services are guaranteed. Please contact us within 24 hours if you are unsatisfied with the service and we will re-clean the area at no additional charge.
Should I tip the Maid Service Team?
This is entirely up to you- tipping is not required or expected, but always appreciated. If you do choose to leave a tip, cash is preferable – it will be shared equally by your Service Team. An occasional note to the team when they really impress you would also be welcomed, so please call or drop us a note through our website.
Why does the first cleaning take longer?
It takes additional cleaning time to get the home up to Coloniale Maid Service standards. This first visit is performed on an hourly basis. After this initial visit, we will confirm your regular cleaning price. Regular home service visits are charged as a flat fee. You will receive a prior estimate for the regular house cleanings.
What is your liability limit?
Our liability limits are set at a maximum of 200% of your one time service fee.
What if something gets broken?
Please notify us within 48 hours of the cleaning date and we will make arrangements to have the item repaired or replaced for you.
What if there is a problem?
If you see a problem while the Maid Service Team is in your home, you can talk to a team member, who will make immediate efforts to correct the problem. Or you can contact the office staff/Dionne, who will work with the team to quickly correct the problem.
What do I do with our pets?
Please let us know if you have pets and provide any information regarding them that would be helpful for us. If possible, we prefer pets to be confined away from the areas we clean, to allow us to clean your home better and more efficiently.
What if my cleaning falls on a holiday?
If your scheduled cleaning falls on a statutory holiday we will contact you to reschedule.
Will I always have the same service crew?
For those clients who prefer the same people, we attempt to ensure that the same team services your home each visit. If changes must be made we will contact you as soon as possible to determine if you would prefer another person or prefer to change your schedule so you can retain your favourite service persons.
How many people will clean my home?
Usually, there will be a team of two, but that can vary depending on the individual situation.
Do I have to provide my own cleaning supplies & equipment?
We bring our own personal supplies (buckets, gloves, mop, rags) but do use your cleaning supplies and vacuum equipment to clean your home. There is a list of supplies on this website that we require but we are happy to try supplies that are not found on the list as long as they are not too volatile or contain bleach. If they do not work well we will let you know. You are responsible for regular maintenance of your vacuum equipment.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please contact our office before your cleaning day. We require 48 hours’ notice prior to your cleaning, otherwise a cancellation fee will be assessed. This will allow us the ability to schedule another client in your spot.
How can I pay for your services?
You may pay by cash or cheque which is due at time of service – please leave cash or a cheque payable to Coloniale Maid Service on the kitchen counter. A $15.00 fee will be charged for all returned cheques.
How much it will cost to clean my home?
As each home is unique we base our pricing on factors like the size of your home, number of people living there, clutter, pets, your lifestyle and how often you want your home cleaned. We tailor our visit to suite your particular needs and your home’s requirements. There is a price list on the website showing guidelines as to how much we charge.
How do you access my home?
You can leave a key with us (the best option), or you can supply us with an entrance code. You can also leave a key at a designated accessible place at your home or you may wait for the Maid Service Team. If you chose to supply a key, the keys are picked up from and dropped off to the office each day by the service team.
What is the difference between Coloniale Maid Service and a cleaning lady or another service?
Coloniale Maid Service builds relationships with our customers. We try to continually improve the services we offer, and how we do them. We welcome feedback & suggestions from our customers because our view is that we have a partnership with you – we work together. Because we service Beaumont only, we keep our costs down and are much more affordable than the other companies that work in this area.
Can I hire a Service Team member directly?
As part of your Service Agreement with Coloniale Maid Service you agree not to hire any past or present Maid Service Team members for any home-related services that you are introduced to through Coloniale Maid Service. If you wish to employ a Coloniale Maid Service Team member, our referral fee of $3000.00 is payable with 30 days notification from Coloniale Maid Service. Coloniale Maid Service reserve the right to pursue alternate methods of collection if the fee is not paid.
